Topic: Cycling blue lights?

What in the world does it mean when the nose flashes light blue and the tummy lights cycle light blue from left to right?

Is there some sort of comprehensive guide to what the lights mean?  The help section on the main site is playfully brief and actually pretty frustrating.

A friend sent me a message and my bunny's nose flashes purple to indicate that I have a message I assume, but nothing I can do will play it.  If I tap the button on top, it goes into that cycling blue thing for a long time and then goes back to throbbing-purple-nose.  If I push and hold the button on top until the nose turns red, the nose turns off and just the belly lights cycle blue for a long time, then they all cycle blue indefinitely.  If I go to the web site and select the message in the web interface and select "replay", then the lights cycle blue (nose and tummy) for a really long time and then it goes back to the throbbing purple nose.

I don't get it.  sad  And I'm getting really frustrated with this thing.  I'd return it, only I think the friend who got it for me as a gift would be really upset/disappointed.

Re: Cycling blue lights?

Mine's been doing that since the new site went live. It'll do Tai Chi (seemingly every few minutes currently) and maybe one or two Nabazmoods messages a day but all other services seem to be inoperable and it's constantly flashing purple but pressing the button just cycles through the light blue lights for a minute or so then back to purple flashing.

As seems to be the case, Violet seem to introduce new buggy features that take your rabbit offline for days. Eventually it'll get fixed. It's very annoying that Violet think it ok to take it offline or release poorly tested site changes. One can only hope someone reverse engineers the server software so we don't have to rely on Violet's servers.

Re: Cycling blue lights?

Thanks for your response!  Since I just got the bunny, I thought I was going crazy or something.  So normally if I push the button, it'll play the message?  Does pushing and holding the button until the nose turns read delete the message under normal circumstances?

I agree that the server upgrade disabling most of the features is frustrating.  sad  On the other hand, I'm kind of relieved that it's just a temporary issue caused by a specific situation, because I was beginning to feel like either I was going insane or like my friend got me a really expensive gift that I was going to have to return (for which they'd have felt really bad).

Normally, yes. Pressing the button during a message will skip to the next message. Holding it in will skip all messages.

Mine's just told me the time for the first time in a few days so it seems services are gradually resuming.
