Re: How did you choose your Nabname?

Well, there is actually a little more thought to Harvie other than Harvey was already taken. I am adopted, and my birth mother's name is Debbie. When I was l young, I used to get stuffed animal bunnies for Easter each year from the Easter Bunny. I did not know my birth mother's name at the time, but happened to name each rabbit "Debbie". I met my birth mom 15 years ago. We don't see each other often, but do communicate some. She sent me a little money for Christmas and my birthday... so I bought Harvie. His name is a mixture between Harvie and Debbie, which is good since sometimes he talks like a girl! Here's a cool thing... my birth mom send messages through Harvie several times a week. Harvie allows me to see just how often I am thought about by this woman who has loved me without knowing me since birth smile

Harvie and I sit in the bars... have a drink or two... play the juke box. And soon the faces of all the other people they turn toward mine and they smile.

Re: How did you choose your Nabname?

Re: How did you choose your Nabname?

Steinbeck just seemed like the right name.

In 'Of mice and men' one of the characters dreamed about one day settling down and having a little house and some rabbits to look after and pet. He always wants his friend to 'tell him about the rabbits' - the story calms him down and makes him look to the future, however tough life gets. The rabbits are a metaphor for something we all have in our lives - the thing that gets us through, a dream, a goal, our picture for the future.

"tell me about the rabbits George"

Steinbeck loves to get messages.

Chew is named after my nephew as he sits alongside his picture. I nicknamed Charlie "Chew Choo" because he chewed alot and liked Thomas the Tank - http://tinyurl.com/29npub

Stop Chew nibbling holes in my socks...keep him busy with a message big_smile

Re: How did you choose your Nabname?

I called mine Pythagoras because he actually has the spirit of the dead Greek Mathematician/Philosopher trapped inside of him.

Re: How did you choose your Nabname?

Wow people have really put alot of thought into naming their new bunny friends!!!! Mine is a girl, and she is called Brie after the french cheese, mainly as Violet are french company and also because I have a recent love for eating the stuff! haha. I was expecting all my name ideas to be taken but a 'Brie' didn't exist so I was lucky!!!

Re: How did you choose your Nabname?

Scratch Newlyn.... my pornstar name, first pet then mothers maiden name.

Re: How did you choose your Nabname?

I wanted to name mine "Alba" after the real GFP rabbit (I'm a bit of a science geek).  Glowing rabbit=> Nabaztag!  Unfortunately, it was already taken so I called my rabbit "CyPet" which is a type of florescent protein.

Re: How did you choose your Nabname?

My bunny friend is called Doki because of an utterly fantastic animation that can be found here http://sambakza.net

I wanted to call her LeBunny but that was inevitably taken.

This is my first post here. I figured after finding so much useful information for my first day of bunny ownership I should drop in and say hi.
