Topic: Recommendations for MP3 editors?

It's about time I created some new nabcasts and retired some of the old ones.

Being a cheapskate, I had been using eval versions of MP3 editors to get the 45 second excerpts to broadcast (as you know the "start from x seconds" doesn't work, neither does trying to broadcast more than 45s). They have all now timed out.

Can anyone recommend a freeware MP3 editor that is simple to use - after all, I am just chopping the front of 3 minute pop songs, nothing too creative!

Cheers

Try "Audacity".

If you have a Mac, use GarageBand, and than transcode to MP3 from within iTunes.

I agree with the Audacity recommendation.  It's a great free tool.  Did I mention it's free? wink

Don't know about the Mac, so I can't comment on GarageBand.

Use Audacity. I even have a couple of quick tutorials on my old blog (the LockerGnome one). If you need help using it, let me know. You know where to reach me!

Re: Recommendations for MP3 editors?

Thanks - Audacity seems to be the one then! I'll have a go at it this weekend.

Cheers for your help
