After browsing around the forum I've deduced that Nabaztag/tag was released around Christmas '06... and that's about it. Everything I read seems to either be saying that services should be working by such-and-such a date (now in the past) or that they're 'working on it'... but can anyone tell me what have they actually done since December '06?
There is an active push to update the networking protocols used by the rabbit - there is a Jabber-based beta test happening right now..
From what I understand, and I could well be wrong, the Jabber thing improves the speed of the messages getting to the rabbit, but there are still major bugs with the services actually working.
If this is right, can anyone tell me what improvements have been made, other than the Jabber testing now happening? I love the idea of the Nabaztag/tag, and am willing to wait for things to be perfected, but if nothing major has been achieved in a year, I'm wondering if the wait is just going to be too long to be acceptable.
Yes, it seems that before Jabber, your rabbit polls every 2 minutes to see if there is something to do. With Jabber, it's a matter of a few seconds.
Only Violet knows what the issues are with the servers..

I've had my rabbit for just over 1 year and the services have been very patchy. As far as I can tell, there have been no major improvements in that time, at least for the first generation nabaztag rabbit which I have. I only hope that Violet do not stop services altogether for the nabaztag as I am not a techie and can only select the official services. I love my rabbit and would be happy with these services if only they worked!
I have mailed them a dozen times over the last week and what you get is a general response from them....I really doubt they care now! The platform does not seem to getting better anfd they can not even be bothered to write something on their blog.....it realy is bad customer relations
I don't even get a reply from them at all - I think I am on their blacklist!
Does anyone have an email address for their CEO?
