Topic: PowerMac G4, new bunny, no way to connect :'((

Hi!
I'm an Italian Mac user and a new Nabaztag/tag owner BUT... there's no way for me to go beyond the 2st connection step: the rabbit is "in blue", I can see "nabaztagXX" in the list of networks, but when I try to connect I get a "generic" *error trying to connect* (or something like that, I get it in italian) and, still,  the 4 blue lighs on .

I'm working on a PowerMac G4 quicksilver with MacOS 10.4.11, airport card and wi fi adsl modem (the wireless internet connection works fine).

I've tried some tips from the topic "WPA Setup: Here's a tip if you're having trouble"... (well, I haven't got a router, just the "old style" airport card and a wi fi modem, so I tried everything but generating a new password): I initially used WPA security (the default for my modem), then no security, then again the WEP security.
In the end, now I'm back to WPA security.
Oh: with each of the 3 security configurations, I tried to connect my bunny using both PPPoE and DHCP, but again... nothing!

Any idea? I bought the airport card JUST to get my bunny to life... :'(
Thanx SO MUCH for any help!

Do you have a PSP or DS?  That's what I used to configure my bunny

"It's French. Shrug your shoulders and make a noise like 'poof!' when it's not working properly"

Re: PowerMac G4, new bunny, no way to connect :'((

Thanx for your reply, but: mmmh... do you mean a PlayStation or a Nintendo DS?? Or something else?
No, I have nothing like that. And I haven't even a mobile with wi fi connection (I read that it could be used to configure the rabbit as well...)
But: if I configure my Nabaztag/tag from some other computer or from someone else's mobile, DS, etc (by the way: how?)... will it work with my computer then? If it can't connect from the start how can it communicate with my mac after the configuration?

Anyway... any other possible solution?

Hello? Anyone? I can't believe that the guys at the Nabaztag support can't help me at all. They simply stopped replying!!! sad

I think you're going to have to break down and buy a router.

... or configure Cottoncandy smile with someone else's pc or mobile... :-/
Tomorrow a friend will lend me his notebook, I hope that will be the solution

Same shit happened here. The simply stopped answering my mail since january 4th. Very Disappointing to have a rabbit for almost four weeks and never got it to connect to the WiFi.

Re: PowerMac G4, new bunny, no way to connect :'((

Write them again. Somehow they overlooked a few of my emails and replied.

Does this only apply if you are using an Apple Airport wifi base-station?
I bought my rabbit last week, and it worked out-of-the-box first time on my non-Apple Wifi base-station (all my computers are Macs, though).
