Topic: Looking for a good text-to-speech program...

Since I'm in college now and I don't get much alone-time anymore, I don't get much time to record my horoscopes anymore... Before, on the days that I didn't have a mic, I'd just use the "save text as mp3" function on the nabaztag website and send the horoscope to myself to save it, but that can get pretty annoying, especially with the new signs I've added over the holidays - ah, it seems just like yesterday when it was only gemini and sagittarius... lol - so it would be GREAT if I could find a text-to-speech program that would make it go to speech and then save it as an mp3. Anyone know of any good free ones?

Hello,

Voice Reader Studio by Lingutec is Great, but unfortunately, not freeware.

Hello,

I've not used it myself, but someone recommended Natural Reader - http://www.naturalreaders.com/ - plus there's a freeware version available, too.

Hope that helps,

This probably won't be of any help to you Kate, but if any Mac users find themselves in a similar predicament, http://mydigimedia.com/2007/08/10/conve … o_mp3.html has great instructions for a nice free workaround to a Text-to-Speech-to-MP3 program.
