Topic: ok, my rabbit turned blue...

but when I connect to the IP showed on the Nab site then I connect to my Netgear wifi routeur admin page...what the heck?!

can anyone help???

Re: ok, my rabbit turned blue...

Switch the rabbit off, then on again whilst holding the button in until the light turns dark blue.

On a Mac, the Nabaztag will appear under the Airport menu bar icon. Just select it and the Mac will work out the right network settings. Open a browser to 192.168.0.1.

On Windows, you need to disconnect from your local network (the netgear network) and then connect to 192.168.0.1. It's a heck more complicated than a Mac.

However, if it was working before, it's more likely that it will work again by itself once Violet have finished screwing around with their servers.

Re: ok, my rabbit turned blue...

ok, am on XP Pro...I did switch off the routeur then made sure I had a static IP on the PC and pointed to that url, it worked so I applied my settings and then the bloody rabbit restarted but it flashed orange all over.

this is a real pain to set-up, potential clients will get scared when they read that...

Re: ok, my rabbit turned blue...

The Violet server continues to be up and down like a thing on a spring. Mine's flashing orange too.

Re: ok, my rabbit turned blue...

That violet smells of shite...:P

Re: ok, my rabbit turned blue...

Surely, if this product is aimed at non-technical people, the setup instructions must be made more clear. At the moment, this rabbit of mine is doing nothing, nor is there anyone I can phone for technical support. I do not like this!!!

Re: ok, my rabbit turned blue...

It's fairly straightforward if you follow the instructions and Violet's servers are working. The problem is, at the moment, they aren't working too well so people are setting up rabbits and thinking they've got it wrong on their end.
